About the Creator

ChapterWise was created by Anson Phong — a Canadian developer, artist, and writer based in the mountains of British Columbia. With over two decades at the intersection of creative technology and storytelling, Phong has worked across digital media, animation, virtual reality, and literary arts.

Origin Story

ChapterWise began as a personal tool. While writing a complex book series, Phong found that no existing AI tool could meaningfully analyze a full-length manuscript — they choked on large files, returned generic feedback, or simply misunderstood the content. So he wrote a Python script to break manuscripts into segments AI could process, then reassemble the results into coherent insights.

It worked. The script surfaced patterns in character development, dialogue balance, pacing, and plot consistency that weren't visible through manual review. Other writers had the same problem, and what started as a personal fix grew into a platform.

Philosophy

A consistent thread runs through Phong's work: technology should serve human creativity, not replace it. ChapterWise was shaped by real writer needs and direct feedback — not assumptions. The platform provides analytical depth previously available only through professional editorial services, while keeping creative decisions where they belong: with the writer.

Connect

ChapterWise continues to evolve based on community feedback and writer needs, making sophisticated manuscript analysis accessible to writers at all levels.
